Scoring Tool (Bread Lame) - (Case of 6)

$60.00

Our bread lame is hand made in partnership with veteran owned, Anchorage based wood worker, Arctic Appalachian. Contains a double edged razor blade.

A case contains 3 maple wood and 3 cherry lames. Upon special request, cherry may be substituted for maple at no additional cost.

Our lame provides a secure hold for the blade while covering sections that catch and tear dough on other lames. The small sleek design is as compact has a lame can get and offers great control for detailed scoring artwork.

Every loaf of artisanal sourdough bread must be cut or ‘scored’ before going in the oven. This score allows for the loaf to rapidly rise in the oven, expanding at the cut(s) where intended.

[Commonly referred to by its french name ‘lame’; Pron “lahm”, meaning ‘blade’]

Please note: Lame contains a double edged razor blade.
